A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

This is a first sample of a 3D platformer prototype I've been toying with for the past six months or so. Currently it's little more than a hodgepodge of ideas as I work out what direction I want to go with this. The art and animations are very rudimentary at this stage.

Controls:

  • WASD/Left Analogue: Movement
  • Shift/L2: Recentre Camera
  • Space/X: Jump
  • Hold Space/X: Fly
  • Left Click/Ctrl/Square: Interact

some bugs :P
-once I pause the game I cant unpause it

-walking off the ledge while holding anything softlocks you, also I was sometimes getting stuck when slideing off ledge and in places like here once

Some other things

-music is really good :)

-It's really distracting that you can start dialog with clicking mouse but to progress it you need to click ctrl. at first I even thought I got softlocked.

-I like the movement on the ground and flying at high speeds but platforming is not very pleasant mostly because of almost non existent air control, I would also make jumping and falling a bit faster.

-I would also suggest to move camera up a lot of platformers do that and that's because it makes player see more ahead on cost of seeing a little bit less floor behind

Overall I like the game so far and I hope this comment will help you improve the game at least a little bit :)

Thanks for the kind words :)

It's been a long road of constant tweaking to try and get the game to feel right to control, so I'm happy to see that you feel that I'm on the right track, even if it's not quite there yet

jumping doesn't seem to work most of the time

its definitely a cool concept though, I could see this being a super fun speed running game

Hmmm

Are you running the Windows version at a high framerate? I noticed jumps being skipped when running at 120fps on Linux, but it should be locked to 60. Maybe the Windows version isn't 60fps locked, but it works fine on my machine

I am using wine to run on linux, but yeah could be framerate issue

I did a quick workaround that seems to have fixed it on my end
